Texas three remain strong. According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Austin, Dallas and Houston all experienced solid employment numbers for May. Austin recorded an unemployment rate of 2.9%. Dallas recorded an unemployment rate of 3.4% (Dallas / Plano – 3.4% Fort Worth / Arlington 3.7%). Houston recorded 4.8%. Overall Texas added 171,800 jobs and overall unemployment remained unchanged at 4.4%.
