Job Title: Solutions Architect

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Functional Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Functional Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing functional solutions that align with our clients; business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze business processes, and architect solutions that optimize efficiency, usability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements. Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
2. Solution Design: Design functional solutions that address business needs and align with architectural best practices. Develop solution architecture diagrams, data models, and system workflows.
3. Functional Specifications: Translate business requirements into clear and comprehensive functional specifications. Document functional requirements, use cases, and user stories to guide development teams.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and quality assurance engineers to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Prototype Development: Create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate feasibility. Iterate on designs based on feedback and findings from prototyping.
6. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with problem-solving, code reviews, and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
7. Technology Evaluation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the industry. Evaluate new technologies and assess their suitability for addressing clients; needs and enhancing existing solutions.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and ensure project success.
9. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, design documents, architecture diagrams, and user manuals. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant
stakeholders.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Masters degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (5 years) as a Functional Architect, Solutions Architect, or
similar role.
3. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles.
4. Proficiency in designing functional solutions using a variety of technologies,
frameworks, and platforms.
5. Experience with enterprise-level applications, databases, and systems integration.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks is a plus.
10. Experience in industries such as energy, utilities, or gas is desirable.
