Job Summary: The Business Analyst position provides critical functionality and process support to the business and serves as a conduit for understanding, capturing, and communicating end user needs and customer feedback.  The Business Analyst position requires a knowledge of project management skills in a fast-paced software development organization. It requires that one be a self-starter, able to work as part of a team and willing to lead and assist with day-to-day software development tasks inherent to a rapidly growing organization. The position exposes individuals to the complete Software Development Life Cycle. Specifically, this position provides crucial support to our clients mobile app for a better-connected workforce across customer jobsites and operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate end-users and customers, using project planning tools, software development, release testing, and end user acceptance related tasks
  • Analyze customers’ business, needs, expectations and requirements in order to acquire end-users’ feedback on product features, design mocks and wire diagrams
  • Liaise with Product Owners to develop user acceptance criteria for user stories, conduct product testing, prioritize bug identification, and close out confirmation
  • Support analytics reporting, interpretation and analysis for key insights & performance recommendations in order to improve user adoption and engagement with established customers 
  • Maintain a data-driven business analysis process by leveraging key performance indicators and dashboards related to product use and adoption trends
  • Facilitate and manage cross-functional project scopes and roadmaps, maintain timelines as well as define tasks and resource requirements in order to ensure output 
  • Support new market research activities for product features and develop market positioning, end-user preference insights, and recommendations
  • Coordinate and support go-to-market activities, initiatives, product training sessions and related projects
  • Consider and suggest alternative options to external/internal customers requesting enhancements/new functionality
  • Examine and answer questions from customers and end-users regarding assigned products
  • Represents the team and product assignments at functionality update meetings
  • Support the continued improvement of product and process knowledge of team members through documentation, coordination of trainings and communication on  enhancements/feature changes
  • Support technical implementation and maintenance of third-party applications (as applicable)
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects, groups and committees as directed by management
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
  • All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, our client's Management or their Supervisor
  • Other tasks and projects as directed by management

Requirements
Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in project management, business analysis, product development or similar role
  • Software industry experience in the business analyst role or similar position
  • Experience in establishing a vision, roadmap, and measures of success
  • Experience supporting the development and management of work items for mobile applications is desired
  • Familiarity and experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent work item management tool is desired
  • Familiarity and experience with Pendo or equivalent digital adoption tools is desired
  • Ability to diagram system processes and user flows 
  • Solid understanding of Scrum project management phases, techniques, and tools
  • Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail applications
  • Strong personal initiative
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
