Google Wins Source Code Lawsuit Over Android and Java; Oracle Plans Appeal

A jury found Thursday that Android doesn’t violate Oracle’s copyrights. In a narrow ruling he court held that the use of the Java APIs, which it acquired when it bought Sun, were covered by fair use.

Oracle, of course disagreed with the ruling which is likely headed for the Supreme Court before all is said and done.

“We plan to bring this case back to the Federal Circuit on appeal.” said Oracle
